Body Massage in Surrey: metachromatic leukodystrophy

Metachromatic leukodystrophy
Metachromatic leukodystrophy (LMD) is a disorder that affects nerves, muscles, and other organs. It is a progressive hereditary disease, which is getting worse over time.
Causes of Metachromatic leukodystrophy: Leukodystrophy is usually caused by the lack of an enzyme called "arylsulfatase". This lack of enzyme causes sulphate liquids to accumulate in the body and damage the nervous system and other organs, such as the kidneys and gallbladder.
As we have already mentioned, this disease is hereditary, since it is transmitted from parents to children. It is a recessive gene that to suffer it is necessary that both parents have the defective gene and the offspring receive both genes recessive and have the disease.
The defective gene can be carried but not suffering from the disease (carrier). The LDM has a probability of 1 in 40,000 people.
